This chapter sums up the key findings of this study on the role of corporate actors in the global food system. It discusses the implications of corporate power in global agrifood governance for sustainability and identifies the factors that influence the likelihood of success of the corporate exercise of power. The chapter also proposes some strategies for limiting the negative effects of corporate power on the sustainability of global agrifood governance and considers issues concerning the democratic legitimacy of global food governance.
