This chapter presents case studies on the use of Internet in three institutions of Philippines, including the government, education, and private corporations. Issues, concerns, and views of human resource managers and employees regarding the use of Internet in the workplace are highlighted in the cases. The use of the Internet by the government to bring transparency in its workings and to encourage citizen participation is analyzed. Educational institutions regulating the Internet access they provide to their students to increase their online knowledge are analyzed. The role of corporations in managing the use of the Internet by its employees and external stakeholders is also analyzed. The chapter uses Quinn and Rohrbaugh’s model to analyze all the cases discussed above.
