The concluding chapter rounds out the extended characterization of ATOM. First, an account of the nature of research problems is outlined. Then, a general discussion of the nature and limits of ATOM is provided. This is followed by applications of ATOM to grounded theory method and to clinical reasoning. Towards the end of the chapter, I offer some remarks about the importance of methodology for understanding research methods. The book concludes with some brief remarks about the future prospects for ATOM.
