An Epilogue allows authors to recount and explain the plot; it is an end, but not a conclusion. Much research remains necessary to fully develop automatic methods for empirical model discovery with theory evaluation. Nevertheless, comparing our understanding with that of two decades ago, huge advances have occurred, and major strides have been achieved in the computer algorithms that underpin such an approach. Here we summarize the developments described in the book, and present a few final thoughts about the way ahead.
