This chapter will first introduce the approach to scenario building, both qualitative and quantitative. It will then place the model within the context of the recent history of long-range forecasting. The next part addresses each of the three key variables within the context of literature covering scenarios for energy, economic growth, and geopolitical futures. It then offers a summary of each of the eight scenarios.
