In Chapter 7 we outline new models for collaborative cross-cultural art projects in the Asia-Pacific region with a particular emphasis on how networked and social media can be used to re-imagine artistic subjectivity and engagement and provide new paradigms for understanding collaboration in a global context. The use of multiple platforms for engagement across a diverse range of geo-cultural spaces is a particular focus in analyzing the complex process of exchange and dialogue in collaboration. Our case studies include Soundpocket, Stereopublic and Spatial Dialogues.
