The chapter provides an overview of the third “Rethinking Macro Policy Conference,” held at the IMF in April 2015, the proceedings of which are contained in this book. The chapters are organized into seven topics: the new normal, financial regulation, macroprudential policies, monetary policy, fiscal policy, capital flows and exchange rate management, and the international monetary system. The chapter provides the list of questions asked of the panel members, together with a summary of each chapter and where it fits within the broader policy debate.
