Location Matters: The Role of Place
This chapter further explores augmented reality games and how they can effectively be tied to the geographical locations and assets. It suggests that there are two categories of augmented reality games, those where location matters and those where location does not matter. It describes the design of the augmented reality location-based game, Environmental Detectives (ED). It discusses how learning can be promoted by making the game experience as close to reality as possible.
