Dyslexia and Development
This chapter presents an ontogenetic causal chain analysis, which addresses whether cerebellar abnormality can prove an adequate causal explanation for the development of specific cognitive difficulties of dyslexic children. It considers how this analysis explains three criterial difficulties—reading, writing, and spelling and then considers how it addresses the Morrison/Manis criteria for a causal explanation.
