This chapter attempts to build a bridge between polygon game worlds and architectural theory. It seeks to identify a framework of spatial understanding on different levels, which can be applied to game spaces. First, it develops a model from an assembly of various architectural theories and tries to interconnect their key features in an admittedly simplified model. Then, it covers some specifics that are outside the scope of traditional architecture but integral to the nature of virtual space.
