Emerging Configurations of Knowledge Expression
This paper explores the nature of academic publication along two fronts: the exponential increases in the amount of material being published and in new modes of knowledge expression. It argues that we need to reconceive the units of knowledge production (getting away from the individual author), and that new expressive modalities make the mediation of knowledge through text one choice amongst a range of others.
