This chapter reveals that the fate of European countries and, specifically the European Union (EU), depends on having better ties with the United States. The EU and the United States need to realize that while Europe cannot exist in isolation, the United States cannot force its authority on that continent any more. Europe depends on the United States for all its needs and aspirations—be they related to military strength, or political or economic aspirations. The United States realizes that it needs to have better political and trade links with Europe for its own benefit. The economies of these two continents depend on one another for continuous growth and development. These two entities realize the significance of co-existence and cooperation for growth and peaceful co-existence global conditions that are changing rapidly in terms of military strength, political scenarios, and economic progress.
